Summer Work.

The song I have chosen to make a music video to is The Downfall On Us All by A Day To Remember. I have chosen this song because I’m a big fan of A Day To Remember and I know I’d be more enthusiastic to work with a song that I like.

A Day To Remember are a five piece band which originated from Ocala, Florida, USA. ADTR have been together since 2003 and are still making new music and progressing with each record they release. ADTR fit into several different music genres which are; Metalcore, Pop Punk, Post-Hardcore and Emo. ADTR has released four studio albums, nine singles and eight music videos. They are mainly known for their unusual amalgamation of metalcore and pop punk as a music type.

The song I am concentrating on has come from ADTR remixed and remastered version of their first album. In 2010-2012 ADTR toured with their Australian friends, Parkway Drive. On the tour with Parkway Drive they also played alongside Suicide Silence and The Acacia Strain. ADTR played sold out shows across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide in support of Parkway Drives “Sweatfest” 2008 Australian tour. A couple of months after they had completed the tour they went on to tour around USA, Asia, New Zealand and the UK. They also played at famous festivals such as Vans Warped Tour and Download Festival.

A Day to Remember are categorised in a sub-genre of music know as post-hardcore. Other well-known bands that fall into this category are Bring Me The Horizon, Architects and also The Devil Wears Prada.  Some of the bands which are in the post-hardcore sub-genre tour together because they are all in the same genre. With them been post-hardcore they have the heavy side of their music but they also have melodic sides to their music. Architects have done a very melodic song which is called Heartburn and A Day To Remember also have one which is called Have Faith In Me.
